As you undoubtedly know by now, Steve Jobs, Apple’s genius head honcho, has resigned from day to day operations. It’s not really surprising given the fact that he had been on medical leave since January of this year, and has been dogged by cancer related health problems for years. In his letter of resignation he wrote:
“I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s chief executive officer, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.”
While it is sad that he has been forced to stop working on the day to day operations of a company he co-founded in 1976, his spirit is and always has been inspirational.
