Return of the Mc

Holla!  Apologies for my absenteeism, but I was away in Ibiza and as I’m sure you’ll understand needed to some time to return to humanity once I got home.  It was fantastic, such good fun.  I highly recommend the place if you enjoy a cocktail, a beautiful sunset and a good night out.

I think this is the song that will always remind me of the trip:

Also this mix of Yeah Yeah Yeahs “Heads Will Roll”:

And while I didn’t hear it there, the Calvin Harris remix of “Fourth of July” by Kelis has that vibe too.

Now, I just have to accept that it’s over OR find the money to go back in August!  For the moment though, it’s back to regularly scheduled programming.

The Situation

I LOVE Jersey Shore.  I don’t LOVE The Situation, but this is relatively amusing.

Those poor Jersey Shore kids should not be encouraged to do anything other than be on Jersey Shore.

Miracle Bell

These lads are from Kildare, love the song, and love the video which was directed by Simon Eustace who is also a member of Dublin band The Chapters.  Fair plays all round!

EDIT: Eh…not sure how it happened but somehow I posted a video of “Tomorrow” from Annie here instead of the Miracle Bell video.  Whoops.  Here’s the real thing.

Come Dine With Me: Wag Edition

My boyfriend and I love Come Dine With Me.  We love the characters, the love the drama but most of all we love the food.  Last night’s edition was a completely different experience, however.  It was the wag edition, and the food barely played a part.

If you haven’t seen it you can watch it here.  My highlights:

  • Reference to “Le-BOOT-ins” and “Diane Von Furttisberg” by Jessica Lawlor, Stephen Ireland’s wan.
  • Cissé’s wife Jude serving Angel Delight as dessert.
  • Jude pronouncing salmon “chicken”.
  • Emile Heskey’s fiancée showing the crew around her house where two portraits are proudly on display, one of Martin Luther King and one of Nelson Mandela.  She didn’t know who Martin Luther King was.  Brilliant.
  • Stephen Ireland’s wife’s accent.

WELL worth a look, if only to see into some of the wardrobes.

Those Crazy Japanese People!

Anyone who has spent a minute or two watching a Japanese game show on telly knows that they really have their own thing going on.  From dressing up like cartoon characters to dressing their dogs up like animals apparently.

I’d really like a fluffy panda dog.  Sort that out will you?

SERIOUSLY Awkward.

If you don’t like grimacing and feeling awkward you should probably look away now, however I don’t think you’ll be able to.  Moments like this are car-crashesque in the fact that you just can’t look away.

Anyway, at the Glamour Awards this week there was a bit of conflict onstage between Patrick Stewart (Captain Picard) and James Corden (Smithy)…not a situation I would have predicted but fascinating all the same.

Really not sure who comes off worse here…
